I’m a sucker for a high/low hem! I think it’s a flattering shape on me and it gives the clothes that extra something, kwim?
So it’s no surprise that I LOVE the Ellie and Mac’s new pattern, Be Greater, right?
This pattern has fantastic possibilities! For this one I went for a dressier look.
Fabri is a wonderful scuba crepe that is lighter and thinner than regular scuba, but maintains the scuba qualities that I love. As for the pattern I didn’t modify anything, just adjusted to my body measurements. Being a very clear pear, I always grade up at the hips. As this fabric has a bit more structure and I didn’t want it to be flowy I kept the entire front panel size XL, no grading and graded the back panel as usual. I also had to add 2.5″ to the length on both panels to account for my height (I’m 5’10”).
I’m honestly thrilled with how this turned out!!! I might add a smidge more length to my next one, to change it up a bit. 😉
Now I just need to hint to my husband that we need a date night so I can take this baby out for a stroll! 😀
