The Audrey Shift Dress is the first pattern from Pattern Sewciety and it’s lovely.
Congratulations to Mari-Leen on this first step on what I’m sure will be a successful path!
The Audrey has 3 different views and they are all oh-so-pretty.
The pattern is made for wovens and beginner friendly. It features bust darts and no closures.
The boatneck neckline is super flattering and we all know how I feel about off shoulders, right? 😉
My choice of what view to make was a no brainer 😀
I usually shy away from shift dresses as I feel they aren’t too flattering on my body type, but this flounce option is a game changer. It helps balance out the hips and makes me feel less self-conscious.
I used a very lightweight and flowy crepe and it was perfect!
I usually shy away from animal prints, except snakeskin. Somehow I love it! I do have the occasional leopard print, usually on a different color than the traditional (example here). But snakeskin print, I can’t get enough of… If I see it, I’ll want to buy it.
Hmmm…. wondering if that says anything about my personality lol
What I love about this dress is that it goes just as well with some flats or with high heels… Dress it up or down for any occasion! <3
