Clairborne Women’s Ruffle Top is one of those patterns that looks so impressive and yet are so simple to make. Claiborne is a boho-style woven top with no closures. Yep, I said no closures! How simple is that?
The pattern is very beginner friendly and comes with plenty options to keep you busy for a while 😉
They include:
- Necklines: Facing
- Sleeve Lengths: Short, 3/4 and Long with optional Single or Double Ruffles
- Bodice Options: Empire or High Hip Cutlines
- Ruffle Options: Single and double ruffle options on all bodice lengths.
I opted for the Empire waist with single ruffle and 3/4 sleeves, also with single ruffle. My fabric is a crepe viscose that has nice weight and drape to it.
I just love how colorful and vibrant this fabric is! It makes me happy!
As I mentioned before, this pattern is beginner friendly, the only special skills needed is applying interfacing, gathering and the use of a rolled hem foot. If any of those scare you… no need to panic! DIBY patterns come chockfull of instructions and tips (including videos) to help you through the entire process. Not to mention the DIBY Club Facebook Group where you can get a ton of support from the designers, testers and fellow members. 😉

The pattern also comes complete with instructions on how to adjust it exactly to your body type and measurements. I made Misses sizes 14, graded to size 20 at the hips. I also lengthened it to account for my height.
