Kaius Sweatshirt

Kaius Sweatshirt – DIBY Club

Well, let me start off by apologizing if you’re a subscriber and suddenly you’re bombarded by my posts. Real life has gotten busy and the blog had to take a bit of a backseat for a few days. The sewing, on the other hand, keeps going (as it should! 😉 ) so now I have plenty to share with y’all! 😉

DIBY Club has launched it’s first Kids pattern and I’m so excited about it!

I love me some DIBY patterns and now I get to make them for my kids as well! <3
The Kaius sweatshirt came just at the right time for this Mama. My son outgrew our favorite kids’ sweatshirt pattern (Constance by Sew a Little Seam) and we were in desperate need of another one.

Of course, there are other ones that we love, like the Summit Peak by New Horizons for example, but they all have a distinctive look or feature. The Kaius came to fill out the sweet spot of a “regular” sweatshirt with multiple options that we can pick and choose from. A fast and simpler sew that covers the basic needs… am I making sense?

The pattern options are:

  • Necklines: Lined Hood or Low Crew Neck;
  • Hemming Styles: Sewn-in Elastic or Banded;
  • Sleeve Hem Styles: Sewn-in Elastic or Cuffed;
  • Additional Options: Kangaroo Pocket;
  • Regular and slim fit.

He loves it so much that I really must make time to make a couple more. People at school probably thinks the boy only has one sweater in his closet, as he keeps wearing it over and over again.

Options chosen were lined hood and sewn-in elastic hem and cuffs.

The fabric is a thick french terry I ordered from a Polish webshop quite a while ago. I have to go through my files and find out their site address again because we need more. Very good price/quality! It’s been holding out perfectly well with multiple washes a week.

In need of a basic and great fitting sweatshirt for your kid?
I say: Kaius!
We are already a fan. 😉
