When you love a pattern you can never stop at making only one, right?
I really needed to have a South Seas in a solid color to be able to mix and match more freely with the rest of my wardrobe. I scored this thicker gray swim from a remnants bin at a local brick and mortar shop here in town, and have been saving it for the perfect project ever since.
This one is almost exactly the same model as the previous South Seas I’ve made, except for:
- no cups sewn in – it’s lined with swim fabric, and has the shelf bra, so it’s sturdy enough to hold everything up (perks of being a member of the itty-bitty-titty-committee lol)
- back opening is smaller – I used the back of the tankini option for a more modest look.
I really really love this cold shoulder/flounce detail!
This one will more likely never be worn as a swimsuit… and will be worn a ton as a top/bodysuit!
