Time for another Pinspiration Challenge from Ellie and Mac, and of course, I had to join in again! 😉
I had a hard time settling for one inspiration this time. EAM has been releasing so many great patterns, that it’s hard to choose a style to help narrow the ideas down.
When I finally managed to choose one, I made a plan on how to adapt the pattern, ordered fabric for it and… came across this photo on Pinterest.
This yellow top stole my heart and I had to change my plans!
I mean, if you take a peek at my Project Gallery or Instagram you’ll notice that I love a good off-shoulder top/dress, and yellow is definitely my color this summer. I keep being drawn to it, it just screams *happy* to me.
The pattern choice was a no-brainer: Be the Leader.
It’s a favorite of mine and I didn’t need to adapt it at all to achieve the look. The only thing I did was size it one down because I wanted it on the tighter side.
The pattern comes with options:
- 3 sleeves (short, 3/4, and long)
- 2 flounce lengths
- 3 lengths (crop, shirt, and tunic)
I made Shirt length with longer flounce and short sleeves.
It’s an easy and fast sew.
What I love about this pattern is that the off-shoulder stays put. It doesn’t need constant readjustment when I move my arms. <3
Super happy with this top and have been wearing it quite often, usually paired with jeans and my latest obsession, headbands (can’t stop making and wearing them).
This is another versatile piece that will definitely be making its way into my luggage for our vacation.
