No words to say how deeply in love I am with this shirt!
The stars aligned for this project and it all turned out exactly the way I envisioned… Isn’t it amazing when that happens?
Why I love it so much?
The Pattern
Sweet Tea Swing Dress and Top by Petite Stitchery & Co
Kelsey did such an amazing job with this pattern, I mean… look at that sleeve!
I love learning new things and this sleeve was so much fun to make. I love how it’s constructed and the final result is, well, just plain adorable!
Loving that extra pop of red!
I opted for a short sleeve top, but the pattern comes with way more possibilities than that:
- short, 3/4 or long sleeves
- shirt length
- tunic length (regular or hi-low)
- dress length (regular or hi-low)
I think my next one will be a hi-low dress, how unexpected huh? 😉
The Fabric
To start with, I just love this color combo. Navy, white and red is the perfect color family!
This is a Punta di Roma (I believe my friends from across the ocean call it Ponte 😉 ) and it’s sooooo good to work with. It’s a heavier weight than the ‘regular’ Punta and I love that!
love the neckline on this pattern!
It comes from my favorite fabric shop, Stof-inc. I’m so fortunate that their brick and mortar shop is 10 minutes from my house.
I really need to dedicate an entire post to them, because it’s one of my favorite places in town!
Hmmmm…. maybe I should pay them a visit and get the other prints available! 😉 I’m starting to see new pants and or a dress in my future!
And talking pants… In the photos, I’m wearing my favorite pair of high waisted Pippa Pants made with a denim look knit, also from Stof-inc. This “jeans knit” is perfection and I’m crossing my fingers they still have it in stock! I’ve made these pants last year and wear it all the time, it’s been through the wash a bazillion times and it still looks fantastic!
The Chevron
I’ll toot my own horn here and say that I’m super proud of my pattern matching skills on this one!
This takes a bit more fabric than usual, but soooo worth it! I love the chevron effect, it’s so flattering!
I don’t know why I didn’t cut the sleeves like that as well… only realized it after the top was done, but still love it anyways! 😉

Hi Ingrid!
I’m sorry for the late reply…
I don’t understand what you meant about converting it, do you mean from letter size to A4? If so, there’s no need 😉
About printing, are you trying via computer or from phone/tablet?
Thank you so much for your kind words!
