Good Vibes Jogger

Good Vibes Jogger by Ellie and Mac

I finally got around to making the Good Vibes Jogger from Ellie and Mac, and just in time for the Wacky Wednesday! This pattern is only $1 today (feb 20th, 2019)!!!

The pattern comes full of options:

There can never be enough joggers in one’s closet! These pants are such a stable, and depending on what options and fabrics you choose you get to make pants for almost any occasion, all year round, out of one single pattern!

The options I chose were:

  • regular length;
  • slim fit;
  • high rise;
  • yoga waistband;
  • no pockets.

The modifications I made to the pattern were:

  • omitted the ankle cuffs and hemmed it instead;
  • added piping to the side seams;
  • did a reverse applique on the front panels.

This was such a FUN project!
It was my first time using piping and making a reverse applique and now I’m hooked on both!

I used a free motion embroidery foot (also a first) to stitch the branches on the front panels. FUN FUN FUN!
The results were not perfectly smooth, but I’ll take it!

I now feel like using reverse applique on everything from now on. lol It just took a simple black jogger to another level!

If you don’t have the pattern yet, I advise you to grab it today for only a dollar and go make some fun pants! 😉
