Grace Tunic

Grace Dress and Tunic

The new Wardrobe by Me’s release is such a beautiful and classic silhouette.

Designed for lightweight and drapey wovens, the pattern comes with plenty option to pick, choose and play to our sewing hearts desire! <3

  • 3 sleeve options;
  • 2 necklines;
  • 4 skirt lengths.

The options I chose were:
– Tunic length;
– long sleeves with cuff;
– binding neck.

Fabric used is Chiffon Crepe and it’s perfect for the project. It was a bit of a pain to work with, but really worth it in the end.

Depending on options and fabric chosen it can be dressed up or down, made office friendly, have a boho style or even a gorgeous party dress. Creativity is the limit and that’s always a huge plus point in my book!

The pattern may be a bit daunting for an absolute beginner as it involves making a back yoke, cuffs, gathering and set in sleeves, all with lightweight, possibly shifty, fabrics. But if you’re adventurous, I’d say give it a try, and if you get stumped, just yell for help! πŸ˜‰ The WBM fb group is great and there’s always someone to answer questions.

I added some beads to the end of the waist tie as an extra detail. So cute! I didn’t add any to the neck line ones because it would make them too heavy there.

I absolutely love this tunic!!!
I’m foreseeing a lot of Graces in my closet in summer and spring. I even have a couple of hacks already in mind! That’s a sign of my love for a pattern, when it immediately gives me inspiration to make it in different ways. πŸ˜‰
