I love making fashionable on-trend pieces, but sometimes a girl needs a classic staple in her closet!
The Komi Kimono Jacket by Wardrobe by Me is just that!
This jacket is so versatile, it can be dressed up or down and be worn all year long.
Not only it’s a versatile style, but also a versatile pattern. It can be made with woven or knits and has a sleeveless option.
When I took one look at those pockets, it was love at first sight! They’re so AMAZING!
Love love love!
The fabric I used is a mystery woven I got ages ago at Hema (a department store of sorts), so probably material intended for curtains. It worked out so great for Komi though… It has just the right weight for fall weather.
Here I paired it with a long-sleeved top and leggings, but the possibilities are endless. It would look awesome with a big shawl, or with a collared shirt and jeans.
I can just picture a Komi made in some lightweight flowier fabric for Summer… fantastic!
I’d say that the pattern is adventurous beginner friendly. It looks more intimidating than it is and instructions are great!
