Cosmo Top and Dress – George+Ginger
Kristi has, once again, unsurprisingly knocked it out of the ball park. Cosmo is in one word: HOT!

This really says it all. It’s a trendy, it’s an eye-catcher, it’s comfortable to wear, AND quick and easy to sew. I mean… what’s not to love?!
I made a crop and a dress so far. Here are the deets on them:
- Range 11 bust and 19 hips
- Both done in ponte (punta di roma)
- Tall version of the pattern (I’m 5’10”)
01 – Crop, long sleeve
This just may be my new favorite piece of clothing. I’m seriously obsessed with this top. It makes me feel instantly cool and hip all the while giving me the comfort that my old lady soul seeks.
I paired it with a Palazzo pants from Pattern Emporium (dramatic leg option) and can we say match made in Heaven?
This is a no brainer combo for any occasion, and has already become my go-to in no time.
I love the long sleeve because of the contrast but the short ones will be so perfect for summer! I can even imagine a cute swimsuit paired with the Foxy bottoms! Wouldn’t that be adorable?
02 – Dress and 3/4 sleeves
Well… Hello! 😂
When I picked this fabric I was imagining a more casual dress, a wear with sneakers type of situation. But 2am sewing Livia forgot to account for the fact that this fabric has slightly less stretch than the black one… so the dress ended up being a bit more fitted and way more vavavoom than I’d originally planned. 😂
And if you’re wondering, it’s pretty easy to get in the top/dress, no worries there. It’s a bit like putting a jacket sleeve on 🙂
Another great G+G option to pairing Cosmo with is Campfire, like the one I’m wearing there paired with the Star Struck.
