GG to the power of 4

George+Ginger & 7byraz Fabrics

I’m SO HAPPY with how this top turned out!

The idea for this top has been living min mg mind f.o.r.e.v.e.r. I just never got around to it and kept putting it off.

When this strike from 7byraz arrived in the mail, I just knew it was time!

How gorgeous is this print?

If you’re not familiar with this fabric company you should definitely check them out. They’re based in Canada and is run by the sweetest person, Raggie. They offer beautiful African, Ethnic and Contemporary designs with amazing quality and inspiring stories behind each print.

I feel very honored to be able to honor this beautiful and rich culture!

When this arrived in the mail I gave out a squeal of delight! Look how gorgeous this rib knit is!! Such vibrant colors!

Perfect for my dream top!

As you might’ve guessed by the title of the post, I used 4 GG patterns to make it.

  • Posh top (neckline and turtleneck)
  • Vista top (bodice)
  • Selfie shirt (sleeves)
  • Mix It Up (back cut out)

I must say that it turned out even better than I’d pictured it. It’s so fancy, isn’t it?

Not to mention how comfortable it is. This rib knit is so soft and it fits perfectly without any constraint.

All the pieces went perfectly well together and mashing the patterns was a breeze.

The only extra steps were to transfer the Posh neckline to the Vista bodice and adjust the keyhole back from the MIU to be cut completely on the fold and eliminate the need for a tie.

This was such a great project to get my creative juices flowing again!

7byraz – The print is part of Round 6. Pre-order will open on Friday (June 11th).

I’ve been getting a ton of questions about the pants I’m wearing on these photos.
They’re LOGGERS from P4P and my absolute go-to lately.
