Why did it take me so long to make a Carita Jogger?
Iām a huge fan of Portlanders so it comes of no surprise that Carita would follow the same path.
An easy and quick sew, the Carita has 2 length options: Capri or Pants, and 3 inseam lengths to choose from (29ā, 31ā and 33ā).
The fit of these joggers is truly amazing!
I didn’t need to make any adjustment aside from my regular waist/hip grading.
I opted for the capri length and chose the 29″ inseam (capri 19″). I’m 5’10” with an inseam of 32″, but wanted the joggers to be shorter, almost bermuda like.
I made a Marbella tank to go with it and I love the jumpsuit look of it.
I feel like I can dress it up or down and be comfortable 100% of the time.
Marbella is my go to tank. I have blogged a lot about it as I can’t stop making them.
I love the thin straps that are just wide enough to hide the bra. It’s perfect!
The fabric I used is a mystery knit that I can’t remember where I got it from. But it’s like french terry and sweater knit had a baby.
The waistband and cuffs are rib knit, I still can’t believe how well it color matched with the fabric.
I think the cord I used is a bit too thick, but you gotta work with what you got, right? š

Livia
Hi Livia, your carita and marbella are gorgious. I already made the carita myself and the fit is indeed truly amazing. I have a question. You strengthend the hole for the cord with leader patches. How exactly did you do that?
Hello,
Thank you so much!
I purchased that piece as is. It’s a leather patch with a grommet in the middle, I just stitched it on the waistband. š
Hi! Have you ever considered do a video tutorial on sewing some of the items?
Thank you!
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer!
Yes, this is something I’ve been thinking about for a while now but am still a bit camera shy š
