G+G Spring Collection

Spring Collection

Kristi just released G+G’s 2019 Spring Collection patterns and it’s the best one yet!

All three pieces are absolutely fantastic and true staples.
Whenever I wear any of these I feel like I run the world, but to be honest, that is true for all my G+G pieces. I’m a huge fan of Kristi’s design aesthetic and that’s no secret nor surprise. 😉

I’ll definitely be blogging about each piece individually, but just wanted to give you a run down of the collection as a whole first.

As you can see from the photos above, the collection is composed of:

Janis Top

This is a great transition piece. Change the weight of the fabric you use and it will be amazing from Spring through Fall!
It can be worn off the shoulder or as a boat neck, and has gorgeous gathered sleeves.

This one is right up my alley and it’s giving the, now retired, Traverse Tee a run for its money in my heart! 😉

Zappa Pants

These pants are AMAZING!!!
They come with a 2 different leg options (so 2 pants in 1 pattern): Flared and Bell, optional faux fly, back yoke and front and back pockets.

The fit is fantastic and makes you feel like a million bucks with legs for days.

I’ve only made the flared option, but am loving all the bells I’ve seen so far, so I might have to make one for myself as well.

One feature that I absolutely love about these is how the front pockets are constructed.

I really need all the Zappas in my life!

Marley Dress

This is a fun one!
Retro feel, yet modern looking.
It’s a full circle dress with a keyhole button closure on the back, fully lined and the construction is different and fun to make.
The pattern comes in tunic, mini and dress length and has an optional sash and collar. I made the mini.

So cute and romantic, with some serious twirling power. What’s not to love? 😉

As I’ve mentioned above, I’ll be blogging each pattern separately to go over my fabric choices and more in-depth description of each piece I’ve made (2 Janis, 2 Zappas, 1 Marley and counting). So keep an eye out for more posts soon! 😉
