Vista Top + Selfie Shirt – George+Ginger
Have you seen that George and Ginger has been having a Pattern Mash challenge this month?
This is one of my ultimate favorite things to do and am so sad that adulting has preventing me from joining in sooner. Today is the last day and I had oh so many ideas!
Oh well, at least I got to make this one last minute AND I still have time to take advantage of the 40% discount and grab the couple of patterns I’m missing in my GG arsenal. 😉
I love a good dramatic sleeve and ever since making the Selfie Shirts I’ve been meaning to use the sleeves on other tops. I just LOVE the silhouette of it and how it’s dramatic, but not overly so for daily life.
I chose to use the Vista top for it because the neckline is gorgeous and I like that it uses a facing instead of the usual band or binding.
This was a fairly easy mash.
I simply omited the neck knot from the Vista and used the sleeves from the Selfie shirt. Next time I may adjust the armscye a little bit to remove a little wrinkle, but overall I’m not mad at it, at all. 😀
I have so many plans for these sleeves… so many ideas, so little time. Story of everyone’s life, right?
The fabric I used is a really nice jersey. It looks like polo shirt material but with very good stretch and recovery. I got a bunch of this yellow at the local fabric store, so you’ll be seeing more of it around here. Yellow is my favorite, it’s so happy!
